Fatigue affects people from all walks of life
What is fatigue and how is it defined?
Extreme tiredness which can be caused by life changes, chronic stress, hormonal fluctuations, illness, medication, or insomnia. It is also common with depression.
When depressed, it can be hard to fall or stay asleep and we may wake too early. Depression is linked to changes in neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin all which help to regulate energy levels, sleep appetite, motivation, and pleasure.
Setting limits on work and devices can avoid feeling overloaded.
What are some treatments available for helping people with fatigue?

Adaptogenic herbs help to lower stress hormones to help the body respond to stress. Try Korean ginseng, Siberian ginseng, reishi, schisandra, and rhodiola. Ashwagandha also helps lower stress hormones to ease adrenal fatigue.
Sedative herbs such as valerian, passionflower, and chamomile induce restful sleep.
Enjoy balancing infusions in place of caffeine. For example, try peppermint, hibiscus or lemon balm instead.
Aromatherapy
Oils to energize you include sweet orange, rosemary, and lemon.
Frankincense helps balance the nervous system and lavender is proven to aid a restul night sleep.
Food and Supplements
Slow energy-release foods such as pulses and grains ensure a steady supply of energy.
Supplement, where needed – for example Vitmain B12 aids in energy release, vitamin D lifts fatigue (and you can get this freely from the sun), iron helps transport oxygen in the blood better.

Hydrating foods such as celery therefore can help a bunch.
